I had already discussed with my sister. For the akad nikah, I will prepare two dishes - sambal udang and sambal tempoyak daun kayu. On the wedding day, I will bring brownies ( order ler ). Just want to add more in her menu list. 


The two dishes, I prefer to cook them at my home. As the akad nikah will be at night, I have ample time to do it. And I have an assistant to help me, tadaaaa - my son. 


About the sambal tempoyak daun kayu, I just go to the market. I will tell the seller that I am going to cook this dish, so she will help me to get those things prepared like the green leafy vegetables, small chillies ( I use a bit - buat syarat aje), turmeric, lemongrass, tempoyak paste and petai.  I only stand there checking those things. Easy right. Two more ingredients are the coconut milk and anchovies. I don't use onions for my sambal tempoyak daun kayu.


My family, including my mother and bang ngah love my sambal tempoyak daun kayu. Hopefully, the guests will love it too.
