Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri (31 March / 1 Syawal). Maaf zahir dan batin 💕.
Ramadhan, What have we done for you? Did we break your heart? Did we hurt your feelings? Or are you happy with us? After you leave, No more tarawih, Either at home or at the mosque, No more discussion about lailatul qadar, No more iftar at the mosque, No more moreh, All will follow you,  Leaving all of us. You will come again next year, But are we still here to welcome you? As I'm afraid , This will be my last Ramadhan.
Wife My Baju raya - checked  Mother's baju raya - checked  Mother's duit pre raya - checked Son's duit raya - checked Grandchildren's duit raya - checked Baby grandson's duit raya - checked Single mother + 3 orphans' duit pre raya - checked Guests' children's duit raya - checked Catering for family raya - checked  Husband Zakat Fitrah - checked Garden's Lampu raya - checked Kuih raya - checked  Minuman raya - checked His baju raya - checked Son's baju raya : checked  Wife's duit raya - checkmate ( actually, it's up to him la. He gives me a big 🧧 every month, so it's not a problem. But if he gives me duit raya, I will be very happy 😊 ).
An insect bit my left eyelid, "Aduh mataku", in my garden last Tuesday. And it was swollen. Today, the swelling is not like yesterday's. Yesterday, it was a big one. I looked like an alien. My husband took me to see a doctor so she gave me medicines. Luckily, it's only my eyelid. I had no fever and my B.P. was ok. No problem la. Alhamdulillah. My husband couldn't look at my face yesterday, he would laugh. He pitied me, he's  also worried about me. And he tried not to laugh but he couldn't help it. Nasib, nasib.
I was in a bank, accompanying my son. He had a problem with his ATM card. While waiting for our turn to meet the officer, there's a lady talking to her. She wanted to make a bank loan. She retired early in 2023 and will start receiving her pension this year ( we're the same age ). Then she looked at me and smiled. But I didn't smile back. In my mind, I was doing the calculations and thinking of the causes and effect.   Sigh. She should do a 2 year + .......month budget first before spending her money. Like I said earlier in my old post, when we retire early,  we must have a few bank accounts to separate the money ( based on our budget ). Then we'll know how to spend it wisely. Aamiin ya Allah.
My mother came to my house last Sunday. She's not well. She had to use her four legged walking stick. But since last night, she's been ok. She has parked her sports car (walking stick) at the corner of her bedroom. I'm so happy to see her walking without it. Alhamdulillah. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is around the corner. Some of us are ready to "Baalik Kampunggg oh oh oh Baalik Kampunggg". My two cents about something. Whoever we are ,  rich or poor -  when we go to our parents' house or parents in law's house or maybe stay at their house for a few days, just remember that we are their son or son in law or daughter or daughter in law. Please treat them well . Cook and prepare the food together, clean up the house together  or wash the dishes together. Together gether la. So everybody will be happy. Well, it is hari raya.
The last 10 nights of Ramadhan. All the good things that you intend to do, just do it.  It will be Syawal after this. And you will say, " eh eh raya dah ". Make sure there's no regret after Ramadhan.  All the best 😊 !
Today's iftar is Nasi kerabu. But not from my kitchen.  Beli ler. I will only make seafood kebab. I have cherry tomatoes and capsicum in my refrigerator, so it's a waste if I don't use them. And I also have a packet of satay lidi that I bought at Mydin. It's easy. Sap sap sui. And this evening, if we have time, we're going to visit my niece. She's An's mother. She received a new family member last Monday, a baby boy. Alhamdulillah. An has a little brother now. She must be a very proud sister. Maybe I should call her kak long, not Kakak. But the problem is if I said kak long, she and her mother, both will look at me. Call her kakak la.
I always cook early for iftar. Around 3 p.m.,  I will be in my office ( my kitchen ler ). Lots of  recipes I tried during this Ramadhan. My husband and son love whatever I cook. Like today, I cooked Daging masak lemak 1 cili api. I only used one cili api hahahaha ( plus a few red chillies ). And also ikan percik. Now, I'm relaxing in my garden. Watching the birds flying, listening to their beautiful voice. And taking pictures of my plants. Oh ya for the rice, I will cook it at 6 p.m. If i don't cook for iftar, my husband  will buy something like nasi beriani, nasi arab or nasi kerabu. But I will make sure I  cook for the sahur. Just a simple menu like fried chicken or telur masak kicap. I don't want my husband to have a stomachache at school.  It's the new me 😊. Before this, I relied on other people for our iftar. We bought food. But it's different this year. Only for moreh, my husband will buy kuih, laksa or anything. And our mosque here also prepares moreh fo...
 Part One W : I love you H : Hmmmmm. W : ( thinking ) Part Two W : I love you H : I love you too. W : ( smiling). Part Three W : I love you  H : I love you more. W : ( yahoooo ).
Yesterday, I made kerabu sotong and ayam masak kurma. Today, I'm going to cook kari udang and ikan bilis+ petai + kentang goreng berlada. Dahsyatttt.
This morning, my husband and I went to the market and Mydin. After I put all the things in the pantry and the refrigerator, my husband asked me to go to the garden. Was it to hunt the snails? No lahhhh. He wanted to cut my hair. I was a bit worried at first because he's fasting. Instead of cutting my hair, he might cut my eyebrows. "Oh tidakkkkk". But like a professional hairstylist, he cut my hair and I almost fell asleep while he was doing that. And when I look at the mirror,  it looks good.  I love it.  Thank you 💕. # How did it start , this hair cutting?  My husband pitied me so he volunteered to cut my hair during MCO. Thank you so much 💕. And my dearest husband has been my hairstylist since then. I also feel more comfortable. So far, he has no problem cutting his wife's hair. Alhamdulillah 💕. ( Berapa banyak "so".... ler)
We had our iftar at my mother's house last night. Kak chik , my brother-in-law and bang ngah were there too. I cooked "sup tulang ngilai-ngilai" and " sambal ikan bilis meruntun jiwa" at home and brought the two foods there. Lots of food on the dining table because my mother and kak chik also cooked.  And the best one is the red jelly. My brother-in-law made it. It's like Achik RR's jelly. I need to learn from them.  Before we left, kak chik packed "daging masak kicap" for my small family. It's for "sahur". And she also gave my son "murtabak" which bang ngah bought at Bazar Ramadhan.  Thank youuu . I really enjoyed my second iftar with them.
I met my ustazah at the mosque last Sunday night. She was my Al Quran teacher. She doesn't teach Al Quran anymore. She looked weak but still wanted to perform the  tarawih prayer in congregation. I  hugged her and gave something in her palm. I still remember she told me years ago that she didn't want to sit on a chair while praying because she wanted to do the sujud. Until now, she's praying without a chair.  Alhamdulillah.
W : Why did you give me things that I like? Why do you always make me happy? H : You're my wife.
Many people come to the mosque to pray. Why? It's Ramadhan. Let them come, It's very good, And there's nothing wrong. If the same people only, Before and during Ramadhan, "Muka tu Aje", There's something wrong.
A wife was watching a cooking video on YouTube. A guy shared his recipe then he showed how to cook it. Simple and easy. The food looked super delicious. A must try recipe. But after the video ended, the wife was so excited that she shouted..... W : Thank you. I love you. H : What did you say? The wife looked at her husband and said.... W : I love you. H : hmmm  W : hehehe
 Ramadhan Mubarak 💕.
