From Aku, with love

 "You must drink milk", that's what my mother always asked me to do. I know it's very good. I can see it from my emak. She still can walk without using a walking stick and she's 82 years old. Alhamdulillah . Thank you Allah for her good health. Thank you. Even the doctors at the hospital praised my mother and asked her secret. She just told the doctors, " drink milk laa". During last Ramadhan, I started drinking milk "Anlene Gold 5X 45+ " original flavour. Now, I drink it twice a day , morning and night. If you are 50 something, it's not too late to start drinking milk....good for your bones and teeth. And you know it is true.

 My Indian daughter @ former student came to my house with her husband today. Her husband gave me a very tall Raya hamper. I was so touched. She's still the same little girl that liked giving me a present every Teachers' Day . My husband knows her, my mother knows her and of course , my son. She's not rich but she has a very good heart.  I made Soto, especially for her but she doesn't like it. She didn't tell me but I know lah. I told her that next time when she comes to my house , I will make chicken curry for her. I also told her that cooking chicken curry is easier than making Soto.  Then she laughed. And I am very happy because she has a husband who loves her dearly. He's  willing to bring his wife to her Malay mommy @ former teacher's house and that's very-very good. He understands it very well. Oh ya. She brought along her wedding album and showed it to me. She looks stunning. Before they left, I gave my daughter a Tupperware wedding hamper and  a ...

 The imam was reciting a doa after performing solat Isyak. I was sitting with the ladies. But while listening to the doa, I moved forward my body. The lady beside me noticed it.  Lady : The Imam's voice is not that clear.             Quite low , right? I   : Oh , not because of that.  I am peeping       my husband.  I love seeing my husband sitting together with the jemaah. He's not the imam. He's not the bilal. I don't know , I just feel happy and proud seeing him there. 

 I think Mr Cat has already eaten Minah Jambul ( Oh Tidakkkk ) . I only saw bird feathers near the sandpaper vine plant yesterday morning. And I am very sure there's no egg in the nest. But the cat cannot be blamed. Bird eats the insects , cat eats the bird.. it's the food chain. But I still pity Minah Jambul. Sighhh. Settled celebrating Hari Raya at my brothers' and sister's house. It's going to be my turn after this. Hari Raya is always the best time for our big family to gather and say hello. Meeting the elders and the youngers  , talking about any topics,  teasing each other and laughing .  Always enjoy the precious moment and appreciate it. 

My late Abah was like the right wing to me whereas emak is like my left wing. Both of them made me fly higher and higher to achieve my dream.  But after Abah passed away in 2014,  I couldn't fly anymore. How could I fly with only one wing? It's so sad. There's nothing I could do.   I forgot that I have two legs. My right leg is my husband and the left one is my son. With their support, I still can walk and run.  It is different. I feel different . It's  not same like when Abah was around but life goes on. And it is hurt when we lost someone that we love so much but as I said earlier , life has to go on. 

 I just left a shop and went to my husband's car. His car is white and small. When I wanted to hold the car door handle , the driver was looking at me with his panic face. I : Why does he look so different? Then I heard a loud honk. I turned around and saw my husband waving at me. I : Ops!

 Total views of my blog until today is 16204. I received a comment. It's a compliment actually. Thank you so much. But sorry I have to delete it because I prefer no comments on my blog. Sorry again. Oh ya about the old bird nest. I noticed it's covered with dried leaves. Now I know. If the bird has built a new nest, she won't use the old one. And if she doesn't use it anymore, it means other bird cannot also use it. There's no bird nest wakaf in the birds' world. What to do? I didn't dare to remove the dried leaves from the nest. It's their nature. Ok bye.

 Sometimes, we want to keep some money to buy something that we dream of like a car, a house , a handbag , a watch, etc. So we don't want to donate or help poor people because we are afraid our money will decrease and not enough.  We forget that rezeki is from Allah (SWT). When we donate our money , yes our money will become less but the thing that we want to buy will have a good discount and we can afford to buy it. Insya- Allah, the money is enough . And may be, we can still have extra money after buying it. . That's the magic of sadaqah or donation. At least do sadaqah subuh la. RM1, every subuh. Put it into your empty kuih raya jar. Then use that money to help poor people or building a mosque wakaf. Do good things ok.  # and if you are very lucky, by giving sadaqah, sometimes you'll receive money that is out of your expectation. Like our Malay proverb  says " Durian Runtuh". Insya-Allah.

 This morning, I bumped into an old friend at a restaurant. He was alone without his wife. It looked weird to me because they were always together. So , I asked him... I : Where's akak? He: ......( Voice not that clear but I heard he said meninggal which means passed away) I : Haa... Inna lillahi wa inna...... But I stopped  because my husband was looking at me with his big eyes. He : Eh Taman.......... I : Sorry.. sorry. Send my regard to akak. I told him many times to send my regard to his wife to show how sorry I am. He should say at home lah....Ish Ish Ish.

 It's my siblings' turn. Going to visit them these  three busy days ( Friday - Sunday ). And may be visit my uncle's family too. My mother  has only two younger brothers..Her younger sisters had passed away because of cancer and stroke. Well, it's still Raya mood here in Malaysia so let's spend our time with the loved ones. Ba bye! 

 Mr Cat invested two shares in my garden. Chit! I had to work harder to remove them. With the smell....fuhhhh. It's a cute cat. A new cat, I think. And it likes my garden until it left presents for me. Yesterday, I didn't have time to remove it and this morning, another souvenir. But I did put something at the two spots. Just want to get rid of the smell. And to surprise Mr Cat. Hahahahahaha ( laugh like Syarif Dol, samseng Kampung Dusun). And minah jambul kept looking at me everytime it checked her nest.  The bird was scared that I will do something  to it.Yalah why did you build a new nest near my house? Use the old one laa.  Haiii I am not that mean. Bertelurlah, no problem. How are your two kids ( my bird grandchildren )? 

 My mother is on her fourth day of Puasa Enam. I am very impressed with her. I will try my best to start fasting next week.  My Indian daughter ( former student ) is coming to my house with her husband. I gave her the date . At first, I thought she could join my family makan-makan Raya gathering because I have already  ordered food . But pity her . So it's better different dates. I will cook for the new bride and groom. Ok lah , Soto will be fine (Lagi-lagi Soto). Still busy in my garden and my house. Just settled my mother's room. During Ramadhan,  I put some of my gifts in her room so, it's very messy.  Now, her room looks like a bride bedroom. I used ustaz's bed sheet set (with a comforter) gift that I received on my retirement day . Thank youuuu.  My mother is coming to our house next week. Of course, she'll be very happy with her raya bedroom. 

 Sometimes, People feel life is so cruel to them. And sometimes, They feel life is so good to them. But, Good or bad, It is our test, To remember Him,  To believe in Him. Everything is from Allah, Only He knows the reason for it, Only He knows the best for us. And who are we? Just a " hamba Allah ".

 Before I performed hajj, I had heel pain but only my right foot. After I returned from performing hajj, the pain was gone. Alhamdulillah. But in 2022,  I had back the heel pain.  It's worse than before. I could feel the pain from both feet. I prefer sitting than walking because it's very painful. To feel less pain, I must wear shoes or sandals while walking . My husband bought me a few pair of sandals to wear  at home and Ma's house in Kelantan.  I was so scared that one day,  I couldn't walk anymore. I told my husband that he could do shopping or go anywhere without me if I couldn't walk. But he surprised me with his answer . He said that  he would put me on a wheelchair and push me. I was so touched that I told my mother about it. But my mother was angry. She didn't like my husband to pamper me. I must walk.  I listened to her and practised walking.  Reached home at 9 a m. yesterday. My husband, my son and I are still feeling tired. Last Tuesday, my husband and I helped my mother cooking for the Eid Fitri . Not only both of us , my sister, my brother in law, my niece and my mother's neighbour were also there. After the takbir Raya at my mother's house, we went home packing our things to bring to Kelantan.  The next morning, after praying Eid Fitri, we went home first. We changed our car and went to my mother's house to celebrate Hari Raya with her. Then we started our journey to Kelantan around 11 something a.m. It was a smooth journey. We prayed jamak takhir at a mosque in Terengganu and had our lunch there.  Thank you emak and kak chik for the yummy rendang and nasi impit. At 7.30 p.m. my husband received a call from his younger brother to have dinner at his house. Nasi Arab, Alhamdulillah. Thank youuuuuu.  Conversation 1 Great grand mother vs An An was holding a box that full with packets of junk food. GGM wanted to take one of the packets. She wanted to see what it was. An : Nenek cannot touch it. GGM : Why? An : You are fasting. GGM:  Oh. Are you fasting? An : No. Conversation 2 Wan Su was in Nenek's garden. She's trying to find turmeric leaves for rendang. Then she saw the plants and held the leaf. An : Correct, turmeric leaf. Wan Su didn't know that An followed her to Nenek's garden. WS : Ok . Thank you. Did you always come          here with Ibu? An : Yes. WS : Good.

 Do you know this cooking programme, "Laki masak bini lucky"? The hosts or I should  say the chefs are Puan Nabila Huda and her husband., Encik Mohd Izwan. I loved watching them teasing each other while cooking. A very happy, loving couple. Alhamdulillah. And Puan Nabila has another cooking programme, "Masak sana-sini New York" this Ramadhan.  It's at 12 noon on TV Okey ,  Monday until Saturday . This time, she's alone without her husband. But for every episode, she has a guest who will accompany or assist her cooking. It's not like other cooking programme because  she  also did like mute acting with her guests. And you  didn't  expect her action. It's very entertaining . You will laugh . Malaysians know that Puan Nabila is an excellent actress . Her character in the drama and film is  always sad , bad or serious. But in this  cooking programme, you will know that she's a funny person. Enjoy watching her sightseeing in New York and her b...
